nall *1013: Go God Go XII* "Go God Go XII*

Last week Eric Cartman froze himself in an attempt to make his
three-week wait for a hot, new, gaming device pass quickly. A freak accident landed him over 500 years in the future and now he's stuck there. The future is a tumultuous place with warring factions, angry sea otters and no Nintendo. Will Cartman find a way back to his own time? reply -
Binsento LOL, part 12, hehe reply

-
abcbcdcdef why is it called part 12?

Is it because of last episode is10'12'? reply -
Carlordau should be an interesting two part conclusion. the first ep got me hooked as to why its XII, seems random to me, but there has to be some meaning behind it. reply

Gothic_Butters yes, even though the episode kind of went down hill (in my opinion... however my opinion seems to get flammed) I will still watch the next episode. I'm VERY curious as to how this will turn out.

My opinion however (again.. i'll probally get flammed for speaking my own mind.. ) is that if Cartman stays in the future, South Park will kind of suck.. if they keep hopping back from one timeline to another. reply -
Swede_Hanzon I agree the episode went downhill, so you're not completely alone.

Obviously, Cartman is gonna find a way back to present time. Either that or find some way to prevent his past self to go up that mountain in the first place. reply -
crazyQH I agree the episode went downhill, so you're not completely alone.

Obviously, Cartman is gonna find a way back to present time. Either that or find some way to prevent his past self to go up that mountain in the first place.
I'm really interested to see how they manage to get Cartman back into his own time. I mean, he didn't actually travel through time, he just sort of waited out 500 years in an icecube. So, it's not like he took some sort of a machine that allows him to jump into different times or anything.
I can already tell from the title this is going to be one fucked up episode. I'm hoping it's not completely Cartman centric, I'd really like to see the other boys. I don't really care too much about the Garrison/other dude's ralationship, however I have a feeling they are going to have to explain whatever happened with them and the whole Atheism thing.
I just hope this won't be a three parter. I highly doubt it, but things have been so crazy lately in the world of South Park that I wouldn't put it out of the question. reply -
Adorno I'm sure he'll come back somehow, maybe he's sent back into the past to prevent Mrs. Garrison and Richard Dawkins' relationship from forming or to stop Garrison from becoming an athiest, and he just stays home after doing that.

I was glad to see a return of Professor Chaos in the last one so hopefully he'll be in it next week, maybe he'll save the day somehow. I agree that there should hopefully be more of the other boys in the next episode, fingers crossed.
I still can't believe Richard Dawkins is in an episode of South Park. reply -
Nadine81 My opinion however (again.. i'll probally get flammed for speaking my own mind.. Rolling Eyes) is that if Cartman stays in the future, South Park will kind of suck.. if they keep hopping back from one timeline to another.

They wouldn´t let Cartman stay in the future. At least 50% of the SP episodes are Cartman- based. If he stayed in the future, that would change the show completely....
I just hope this won't be a three parter. I highly doubt it, but things have been so crazy lately in the world of South Park that I wouldn't put it out of the question.
I don´t want a three parter either...
But I don´t think the Cartman/ Garrison/ Dawkins - Story is enough for three episodes. So they would have to introduce another storyline to fill three episodes. And I doubt they will do so.
Anyway, I´m looking forward to this week´s episode...I´m curious how Cartman gets back to his time, how the war between the atheists will end up and what will happen to the Garrison/ Dawkins- "romance"...
And for the season final I want the four boys doing something togeher- just "boys being boys" . reply -
MyGod I am curious to see what role Butters plays. I think he will do something we weren't expecting - what with all of his concern for Cartman and all.

We've seen him develop a lot of character lately... reply -
Rooster_Costume I think this should be a good finale to a pretty good lead-up. They usually set themselves up with the first one, then put the humor in the second part of it. With the exception of Cartman's rant by the big wheels and the Family Guy parody, there wasn't really anything funny about the first part of Cartoon Wars. They did have more funny parts in this first part, though. It actually had about the same amount of humor as a normal episode.

Meh, I don't mind it being a two-parter. As long as it's good, I don't care. IMO, SP doesn't have a good history of two-parters (Do the Handicapped Go th Hell?/Probably and the Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut cliffhanger weren't that great), but Cartoon Wars was pretty good, so I think they can pull off another good one.
The title is very confusing, though. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I guess they go really far into the future before they get back. That's what gets me for the possibility of a three-parter like Dee suggested it could be. I doubt it happens, but the title makes it possible.
I can't wait to see more of Cartman in this episode. XD He sounds like all of the boys did when they were trying to get their Okama Gamesphere back. I'm interested to see how they get back; very interested. Seriously, it better be better than that whole manitee bullshit they pulled in Cartoon Wars; the only negative about that episode.
I also wanna see more of Garrison and whatever the fuck his name is. They're really what I've been waiting for since Matt and Trey said they might make an episode before the run began. I love seeing atheists get ripped on for being all holier-than-thou. reply -
hampden623 It's (hope) its going to be a... "Part 2 will NOT be seen so we can bring you this Terrance and Phillip Special!"

while very good...no need to wrap up part one IMO.... reply -
Spacefille yes, even though the episode kind of went down hill (in my opinion... however my opinion seems to get flammed) I will still watch the next episode. I'm VERY curious as to how this will turn out.

Don't worry, I completely agree with you. Last weeks episode was one of the worst South Park episodes I've seen in a while.
But I don't intend to stop watching, I too want to see what happens. reply -
Aym_Dand Well last week South Park was brought to us by Final Fantasy XII, so it could have something to do with that. Or it's a joke based on the changing of the first title -- just saying, "fuck it, it's part 12, assholes". reply

-
Gothic_Butters Well, alot of times in the future they have alot of nifty gadgets. I'd imagine that they just let Cartman use a time machine or something... then he goes back to the time when the wii comes out reply

Mr. Blonde im not too fussed on them doing another two part episode in the same season, but as recent episodes have proved sp can still push the boundaries. I loved the life of brian reference at the end haha so good to see they can maintain their level of parody (the shining/monty python/whatever time travel freezing movie the main theme rips lol)

im really interested in seeing the immediate aftermath of cartmans disappearance, i think a good start of the episode would be people's genuine reaction to cartman being presumed dead. After all the guys warring with him they must care right?
either way theyve only disappointed once this season, so im psyched. reply -
Kyle the Skeptic Episode 1013 will either make or break the last one. I'm just disappointed that they seemed to squander a number of opportunities with the lead-in.

I would be very surprised if they left Cartman stranded in the future. After all, we're talking about a show that typically sets things back to normal after something dramatic occurs. Although the possibility of the future plot being a dream does sound a little cliche, it would certainly explain why Cartman didn't wind up dead after freezing himself. (The only silver lining to Cartman being stuck in the future from this point on is that it could potentially lead to the other boys getting larger roles in upcoming episodes.)
I wonder what will happen with Richard Dawkins. I did notice that in episode 1012 he was actually portrayed as less aggressive and more tolerant than he is in real life. It was Ms. Garrison who went all out fundamentalist, after all, not Dawkins. Somehow though, I get the feeling that he'll be blamed for everything bad that happens anyway.
I really hope they don't drag it out for another episode. I'm a bit psyched over the possibility of a Christmas special this season. Those always have a good message in them, and it's been three years since the last one. reply -
randyhart Anyone who thinks He will stay in the future is goddam Retarded I enjoyed last weeks episode and this next one should be great I like Ms.Garrison storylines they are usually messed up and quite funny I can't understand.

Dawkins isn't tolorant because the people he talks to in religeous groups are worse and disagree with everything He says and I can see why Preists are shuddering at the thought of Gay people in heaven reply -
tdewey Anyone who thinks He will stay in the future is goddam Retarded

I support this quote. reply -
Big-Will Lest ep is scheduled for Nov. 22, so I don't see a Christmas ep. Maybe a Thanksgiving one though. reply

they hate to be predictible so much that they dont even want someone guess the title, cause everyone was thinking it would be part 1 and episode would be like flashbacks, now we cant even guess what they are up to reply -

I really hope they don't drag it out for another episode. I'm a bit psyched over the possibility of a Christmas special this season. Those always have a good message in them, and it's been three years since the last one.
You mean two years right? Season eight had Woodland Critter Christmas.
But yes, I'd be sad if they dragged it out for another episode, but I really don't see that happening. I don't think they'd end season ten that way..
Although the possibility of it all being a dream would be a major cop out, I wouldn't be too disappointed if they managed to make 1013 good enough to redeem itself. It seems like so much is happening-and has to happen, in the next episode that it could either be a total success or a total disaster. We know Matt and Trey are capable of making unbelievably well thought out and intricate plots and have the episode be amazingly awesome (Just look at pretty much every episode this season), but it could just as easily swing the other way. I have faith in Matt and Trey, and I hope whatever they chose to do with this episode will be great.
I little offtopic, but I am also really looking forward to how Matt and Trey plan on ending this season. It's been amazing thus far, I hope they finish with a big finale. reply -
Binsento It will either be a dream and Cartman wakes up 2 minutes after the last time he checked his clock OR he uses the Nintendo WII to go back in time.

But for some reason i'm pretty sure it's the first option. reply -
Mr. Hat_DX27 I don’t totally get why it’s part XII (12)....it’s kinda confusing. Guess it has something to do with the whole, being in the future thing. I donno. reply

Reference to Final Fantasy XII. reply -
iceiwynd Okay, um, for some reason my entire post on this thread was lifted off and made into a whole separate thread (effectively making me look even more like a stupid bitch than I already do to myself :B), so I'll just be copying and pasting the portion of said post that's related to this episode back on here:

As for the episode - wow. I'm still a bit out of it because I spent all last night waking up at random times and my mind created at least two different 1013 episodes for me, and I KNEW they weren't real but apparently my mind thought they were or something, so... Yeah, I just need to get the one I can remember out of my head and then I can go back to my normal fangirly self.
Honestly though, I'm still really not too happy about this being a two parter. We had the first one in seasons one-two, then season four, then season ten... Then season ten again? :| I just don't like that idea too much. Especially because the last one was totally amazing, there's no need for a new one so soon.
I DO want to see how they get Cartman back, though. I know some people on the last thread were saying how they were thinking it was a dream/hallucination or something, honest to god I hope it's not. Making the entire thing a dream is the mother of all cop-outs. They're better than that.
I do also hope that the whole thing isn't solely Cartman-based, though, either. I want to see the other boys and I hope to see a few flashes back to the past during this episode, too.
Basically... Yeah. I have no speculations. I just wanna see it 'cause I'm so damn confused. The success of the previous episode still rides on this one, I say, so... yeah. Here's to hoping it's damn good. (Also, I think XII is just a random number that they chose. I dunno.)
I'm also hoping that the last episode of the season is a boys-being-boys one, though. Just with all four boys in equal roles. ... And preferably a Christmas episode, too. reply -
Anonymous How come it isn't part Wii ? reply
