Honestly, in that little picture, Randy looks like my dad playing that game. He's not exactly in his underwear but he does play it all hours into the night. We had to beat him into submission to wear headphones when he plays it. His interest in it wanes when he either a)plays a song 1000 times or b)can't beat it. Of course, now they're coming out with Guitar Hero III, so I just have to brace myself this Christmas. I can play it, but I don't care much for it. It's not my thing. reply

  28. triplemultiplex Re: *1113: GUITAR QUEER-O* This episode will be more proof that Matt & Trey just love all video games. And the newer, the better. Every new console that has come out over the last few years gets mentioned in South Park; they can even be central to the story.

    The production blogs have mentioned Guitar Hero this season, so it's pretty obvious where this idea will come from.

    I'm also wondering about the music. You think that right now, there are people frantically hunting for permission to use a certain song in this episode? Plus I'm sure Trey's been throwing together some tunes for it as well. I'm optimistic about the potential musical prospects of this episode.     reply

    Damn, I never really thought about that until you pointed it out. It would be awesome if all the music in the game was done by DVDA. My excitement level has risen once again.     reply
