Question:

What does Kyle say after Steve Jobs yells at him?

What does Kyle say after the Apple guy asks him if he knows how to read?

Answer

Mrph mrpprh mprhh! Kyle was doing his best Kenny impersonation in that episode, so I don't blame you if you can't understand what he's screaming. The gist of his dialogue is him pleading to be released. But since it's super-hard to understand mid-HumancentiPad, I've attached the dialogue from that scene, straight out of the official script:

STEVE JOBS
--And SHARE it, with other people. Who could do the same with all their SHIT. The only thing the iPad COULDN'T do was walk or read... Until NOW!

KYLE
(crying and muffled)
PLEASE LET ME GO!!! I CAN'T TAKE THIS-- Jobs kneels down and gets his face next to Kyle's-

STEVE JOBS
What's that? What's that you're saying?

KYLE
I said let me go please!!!!!

STEVE JOBS
You want OUT? Are you saying you want OUT?

KYLE
(muffled)
Yes! YES! I want out!

STEVE JOBS
Fine, you don't want to be a part of this, then just sign right here--

Kyle urgently grabs the pen and signs his name on the paper.

STEVE JOBS
NO! YOU DIDN'T READ IT!!!!!! This says we don't EVER have to let you out and that we can do whatever we want!

Jobs gets up and turns to his employees.

STEVE JOBS
DAMMIT! WHY WON'T IT READ?!

Question:

How come "201" and "200" weren't uncensored on the DVD?

Hey FAQ guy. I was wondering why the Season 14 DVD/Blu Ray features episode "201" but the edited version? The only reason I went out of my way to purchase this was to have a non-edited version. It also occurred to me that all of the cuss words were still bleeped out. Why is it that we get the edited version of "201" and is there an unedited version out there? I really enjoyed Season 14 but this came as a big disappointment to me since I can watch all episodes but "200" and "201" on this site.

Answer

As you mentioned, episodes "200" and "201" appear on the Season 14 DVD as they were broadcast on TV, which means that some parts are still censored. There actually ISN'T any versions of "200" or "201" uncensored, so the Season 14 DVD is as close as you're going to get. In fact, a lot of fans never got to see those two episodes at all, so it's pretty cool that they made it on there.

If it makes you feel any better, we have brand new episodes to help wash it down!

Question:

How quickly do you get new episodes on SPS? Uncensored??

How long after a show airs on Comedy Central is it available on SouthParkStudios.com?

Answer

Good question! I'm actually adding this to the Most Frequently Asked Questions tab, since we get it a lot. Also using this FAQ to answer the many questions about seeing the new episodes Uncensored:

NEW EPISODES ONLINE: We try to get the episode online as soon as possible after the show airs on the west coast (about 10:35PM PST on Wednesday nights). But it usually takes a little time for the site's cache to clear and for everything to be properly displayed. So if you live on the east coast, it will be there Thursday morning. West coasters, it should be available very, very late Wednesday night or very early Thursday morning.

UNCENSORED NEW EPISODES: As you probably noticed, the show on Wednesday night is censored (on air and on our site). The final, uncensored audio version is finished Thursday night. Again, it takes a while for the site's cache to clear, so usually the uncensored episodes should be available very late night on Thursday or early Friday morning.

Question:

What episode does Garrison create that new form of transportation?

Which was the episode in which Mr. Garrison invents the new form of transportation? The big cycle with the dildo seat and controls. Thanks.

Answer

Ahhh, you mean The IT? That revolutionary mode of transportation hit the shelves (and hurt our butts) in the Season 5 classic, "The Entity". Bonus super-fan challenge: What else was introduced in that episode?

(Answer: Kyle's Cousin Kyle. He came all the way from Connecticut to spread his love and complain about his allergies.)

Question:

I can't see myself using the mouth-to-anus feature on the HumancentiPad. Care to enlighten me?

Dear FAQ- quick question: I understand the web browsing feature and, naturally, the 3G connectivity, as well as the support for different applications. But one feature I don't really see myself using is the "shit-in-some-random-iTunes-users' mouth". Perhaps you could enlighten me on some ways this feature might benefit me?

Answer

Absolutely. That feature is actually the most technologically-sophisticated, fully-interfaced application available on the HumancentiPad. The main benefit is, of course, the facetime you can experience with other users. You'll be able to smell and taste another user's bean and cheese burrito -- feel it -- even though you haven't eaten a burrito at all!

And you can totally check it out, if you just agree right here....

Question:

Are the Geniuses parodying a movie?

Hello, The part where the Geniuses gave each other power, was that a parody of a movie?

Answer

Good call, Highlander! When the Counsel of Geniuses get together to perform their "quickening", that's actually a nod to the "Highlander" movies and TV show. I believe it's a surge of energy that occurs when an immortal is beheaded? Might need to get that fact-checked by my local "Genius."

Question:

Any ideas of what Season 15, Episode 1 is about?

Is there any ideas of what season 15 episode 1 will be about?

Answer

Well, the crew just got back to the office a few days ago to start working on new episode ideas! The actual episode ideas isn't finalized until about 5 or 6 days before that episode airs (April 27th is the season 15 premiere), so honestly, we still have no idea. As for episode concepts, we're all excited to see what they come up with...

Question:

Can we see the McCain version of "About Last Night"?

Hello Mr. FAQ. I was told once by my father that you guys had said that you had an episode similar to "About Last Night..." but with McCain winning instead of President Obama. I was wondering if you could release the episode, if it even existed, or if it's the same concept except for with McCain instead of President Obama.

Answer

Cherish this moment, buddy. Your Dad is way wrong. There was only one version of this episode that we made, and it's the one with Obama winning. Matt and Trey just had a hunch that Obama was gonna take the Presidency and went all-in on the concept. Even though they waited until the last minute to patch in actual pieces of their speeches, everything else in the episode was locked. If Obama lost, Matt and Trey were committed to airing the episode as it was and just embracing the consequences.

So to answer that question: no, there is no other episode or concept for "About Last Night". Go ahead and tell your Dad he's wrong. I'm sure he'll love that.

Question:

Did I catch a Mr. Derp cameo?

Is that Mr. Derp in "Timmy 2000"? When Chef puts the Riddle-Out in the drinks, is that Mr. Derp behind the counter?

Answer

When he's in the kitchen, you never know what nutty things are gonna happen! Yep. that is definitely Mr. Derp behind the counter at the Phil Collins show, slinging lemonade. He's actually made a bunch of random appearances in crowds and/or and behind a counter of some sort.

Question:

I heard the original pilot was 45 minutes. Is that true?

Hey Faq guy, My friend says that I have been snorting cheese again when I say this, but I am sure the first anal probing "Pilot" episode was 45 minutes long and was edited down to 30 minutes for broadcast. Please tell me this is true and that I am not hallucinating the large visitor in the room. If I am indeed not cheesing, will this extended pilot be available for online viewing?

Answer

I believe you are BOTH cheesed out of your minds!! The longer, original version of the pilot that Matt and Trey delivered to Comedy Central runs about 25 minutes (24:27 to be exact). You ARE right about it being cut down a bit, but it was edited down to around 22 minutes (the normal run time for a show). So you're both a little off on your numbers. If you need a good numbers guy, might we suggest Kyle's Cousin Kyle.

As for the uncut pilot airing on our website, we actually did that about a year ago as a special sponsored feature. You never know, we might do it again...

Question:

Just saw new SP DVDs at Target. Are those special releases?

I just saw the new versions of the seasons 1-13 DVD box sets at Target. Is there anything different about these sets? Uncensored audio? Old episodes widescreen now? I've read that all the old episodes are being re-rendered in 16:9 1080p, which is awesome news. Are uncensored Blu-ray versions of the older DVD sets on the way?

Answer

Yes and no. Those fancy new DVD sets have been specially repackaged for Target. Some of them actually do come with a giant 2-sided Episode Guide poster made exclusively for that particular season. Those are pretty bad ass. Also, the sets with the poster also comes with a coupon for the Season 14 DVD...which comes out April 26th!

You are totally correct about our HD team re-rendering everything into amazing 1080p Hi-Def video. You may not even notice it, but Comedy Central's HD channel is already airing a lot of older episodes in HD. As for Blu-Rays, we hope they're not too far behind. Stay tuned here, we'll keep you up to date.

Question:

Is Cartman singing the same song that Token does in "Wing"?

Dear FAQ guy, is the song that Cartman sings while he makes his pop-tart butter ball surprise in the "Fat Camp" episode the same song that Token sings in the Miss Colorado pageant in the "Wing" episode? Just wondering if this was the same song or if its some other song.

Answer

Damn dude, well done. YES, that's Cartman humming the Lou Rawls standard "You'll Never Find A Love Like Mine" while making himself fatter....the same song that Token sings in "Wing" during the pageant. Never noticed that one before, nicely done.

Question:

Is that a parody of "An Officer and a Gentleman"??

Hello Mr.FAQ. I was just wondering in the episode "Erection Day" is that a parody of "An officer and a gentlemen" when Jimmy picks up the prostitute and carries her to the hotel room? Just wondering.

Answer

Was it the song or the nut-gobblin' that gave that away? You're right on the money -- when Jimmy carries off Nut Gobbler, that's a pretty ripe parody of the closing scene to "An Officer and a Gentleman". As I mentioned, even the song playing over this ("Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warner) is also from that 1982 tear-jerker.

Question:

The FAQ Archive isn't working!

Why cant i see the FAQ from 2010?

Answer

Ahhhh....it appears our Archive permalinks were broken. We'll get that fixed. Should be back up and working in no time. Have fun digging through all that Faq-goodness!!

Question:

What's the song when Cartman fights the midget?

Hi FAQ dude, I was wondering what's the name of the song when Cartman is fighting that midget? That episode is full of win!

Answer

You mean when Cartman beats the crap out of Dr. Nelson?? That epic pump-up jam is called "Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed. Say "Uncle"!!

Question:

What's with Randy's voice in "Something You Can Do With Your Finger"??

In the episode, "Something You Can do with Your Finger," Randy screams "No! NOOOOO!" and smashes his head into the china cabinet (in response to Stan's wish to join a boyband). Randy's angry desperation at that moment is totally unexpected, and taken with a slightly different sounding voice at that moment, the humor is heightened. So I'm anxious to know if Randy's voice at that moment is maybe a sample from a movie or something. Thanks. LV

Answer

I'm proud of you guy, been wondering when someone was gonna ask about that. Yes, Randy's voice and reaction are definitely a bit out of whack, and that's because it's a huge parody of a scene in "Star Trek: First Contact", where Jean-Luc Picard throws his phaser through a display case and screams "Noo! NOO!!" dramatically. As you mentioned, even the voice is very Picard-ish.
