Is the episode Asspen (603) a parody of some movie?
There are several cheesy ski movies from the 80s/90s parodied in "Asspen", but the one in particular is "Better Off Dead", an 80s flick starring John Cusack.

What is the episode where Cartman is taking karate lessons?????????? ps: your show is the best
Cartman "racks disciprine" in Season 9's "Bloody Mary". In case you didn't know, he also mastered Sumo in "Tweek vs. Craig" (304). His ass is one of great power.

In the episode Pandemic and Pandemic 2: The Startling. Who's hamsters were those and who made the costumes for them? I especially like the Guinea Pirate and Spider (Lol). ~Zach M.
First of all, those Godzilla-sized hamsters are actually guinea pigs, and they're angry as hell. To answer your questions, I'm going to refer you to the kick-ass "Behind the Scenes of Guinea Saurus Rex" feature we just released. It takes you step-by-step through the creation, production, and process of making the show. Enjoy!

In the episode "Smug Alert", Gerald Broflovski's hybrid car has a license tag "1TMYMPG". Does it have a meaning?

In the episode "Smug Alert", Gerald Broflovski's hybrid car has a license tag "1TMYMPG". Does it have a meaning?
Say it with me: "One-T MY MPG". As in, "Want My MPG" -- for those that aren't metric, "MPG" means Miles Per Gallon for cars. Simply put, Gerald wants that good, green gas milage.

Greets from Holland, love the show and the site. A quick question though, have you ever considered getting yourself an IT? That would be WAY better publicity than arriving at work in a limo, I'm sure.

We all drive ITs. It's the only way to travel.

Does Timmy ever say anything else besides his name?
Yep, he has also rocked out with "Gobbles", "Jimmy", and "Livin' a Lie". Let's just say he likes to chose his words wisely.

Hello from Holland!!!! Your show is the best, it's really popular here. But what is the episode in which Cartman writes a letter to someone and at the end he says "donkey boner!"?

Hello from Holland!!!! Your show is the best, it's really popular here. But what is the episode in which Cartman writes a letter to someone and at the end he says "donkey boner!"?
That would be from "Le Petit Tourette" (1108), where Cartman fakes having Tourette's Syndrome. Donkey boner.

It's actually not referencing a movie, it's a parody of a quasi-famous TV show from the late 70s: "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century".

What season did "Mr. Garrison" get his sex change?

What season did "Mr. Garrison" get his sex change?
That happens in the first episode of Season 9, in "Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina". After some failed relationships and lesbian experimentation, he decides to get man-ified again in Season 12's "Eek, A Penis!" (1205).

I LOVE YOU!!! Okay and I am a HUGE Cartman and Kenny fan and I have a question. In Margaritaville, was that KENNY without his hood when the boys were playing with squirrels?
Yes ma'am. He's got his face all wrapped up, but that's Kenny. We mentioned in an earlier FAQ that Kenny has never shown his full face, except in the movie -- but we should clarify, there ARE a few hoodless slips like this. Most notably in "The Losing Edge" (905) and "The Jeffersons". Just look for that blond mop.

Is "Over Logging" a parody of both 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' and 'Grapes of Wrath'?
Kudos to you, my friend. The Marsh family's journey out Californie-way in does indeed parody both "Close Encounters" and "Grapes of Wrath".

Hello, I was just wondering if Marjorine will ever come back? And if that character does come back, will it have some sort of implied intimate moment with one of the four main SP characters? like Kenny perhaps?

Hello, I was just wondering if Marjorine will ever come back? And if that character does come back, will it have some sort of implied intimate moment with one of the four main SP characters? like Kenny perhaps?
Well, Marjorine is Butters. So that would be a little awkward.

Hello! What episode does Cartman sing the ghetto song in? I could probably find it myself if I looked a bit harder, but I'm just way too lazy.
At SPS, we appreciate that laziness. I believe you're talking about his rendition of "In the Ghetto", which he serenades Kenny with from time to time? This actually happens twice -- Once in "Chickenpox" (210), then again when Kenny's soul is trapped in Cartman's body in "A Ladder to Heaven" (612).

First of all, let me say that South Park totally kicks ass, but right now im curious, in all the episodes of South Park there is no episodes where Cartman likes anyone. In the second half of season 13, is Cartman gonna fall in love? That would be so funny. Plus, when r there gonna be new episodes with wendy???

Erroneous. There is ONE episode where Cartman likes someone -- nay, LOVES, someone. And that is "Jackovasaurus" (305). He loves them so much that after they've been shipped away, he doesn't even want to eat ice cream. As per your last two questions, you're just gonna have to wait and see. None of the episodes for the second half of Season 13 have been written yet, so it's all up in the air. New episodes start up again OCTOBER 7th! Stay tuned...

In what episode does Butters do a remix to "what what in the butt"?

In what episode does Butters do a remix to "what what in the butt"?
Butters covers Samwell's internet hit in "Canada on Strike" (1204). Just in case you're concerned, Butters won't bite (not that hard).

Greetings from Israel! I'm a huge fan and I watched every episode you guys ever made and I noticed a weird thing....in the 6th season episode "Free Hat", Steven Spillberq and George Lucas die after watching the Re-Re-Re-Re-Release of "Raiders of the Lost Arc" but then they come back in season 12 "The China Problem" only to rape Indy and be arrested...so how did the come back to life?

In the South Park universe, weird things happen. Aliens put probes in people's butts, tacos crap ice cream, and people come back from the dead. That's how we roll.

Hey!!!!! South Park's BIGGEST fan here!! I just wanna kno -- in Imaginationland, what TV show is that little cat thing that keeps saying "snarf snarf" from????
That cat thingy is from the epic TV show "Thundercats". It's a parody of the character named Snarf, who constantly says "Snarf!" at the end of his sentences. Snarf!

First off south park is the most kick ass show on TV, and I loooveeee kenny!!! Second off, was that a flash of The Mole in the episode "Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub", when Stan is flipping through channels? And what is the episode when the boys have to read and write a report on the 'Old Man & the Sea', where Cartman pays the Mexicans to do it?

And what is the episode when the boys have to read and write a report on the 'Old Man & the Sea', where Cartman pays the Mexicans to do it?
You've got a sharp eye, my friend. That is indeed The Mole (from the South Park Movie: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut) sitting on the couch of a Late Night talk show. If you look closely while Stan's flipping, there's also very brief glimpses of the Beefcake commercial (seen in "Weight Gain 400") and a show called "Cooking with Chef Fanculo" (with a man that looks an awful like Chef). Here's that clip; you may want to watch it full screen to capture its true essence.

As for paying Mexicans to read 'The Old Man and the Sea', that happens in the episode "D-Yikes!" (1106). Unfortunately, the Mexicans all write their "eses" instead of the essay.

Well, I don't want to call you crazy, but Nick Cage actually has not appeared in any episodes. He was, however, mentioned as an example of a "Mongoloid" in "Grey Dawn" (710), so indulge in that.

First of all, South Park is freakin awesome. What is the episode where Mr. Garison sings "Hey, hey shitty shitty fag fag"?
This debauchery occurs in the cuss-fest "It Hits the Fan" (502). After "shit" becomes OK to say in everyday conversation, Garrison and the rest of the town go nanners.

What episode is the one where the Chinese guy is a pilot and falls asleep while flying?
The boys fly City Airlines in "It's Christmas In Canada" (715) while attempting to rescue Ike from his Canadian birth parents. The flight, however, goes pretty shitty....

You are very, very welcome sir. As for your request, none of the future episodes have been written yet, so you'll just have to wait and see. You think Kyle's Cousin Kyle can possibly handle the allergies and dry air of South Park again? I dunno, it was pretty terrrrible.

What ever happened to Cartman's glasses in Succubus? I probably spelled that wrong. Oh welll.
Actually, you spelled it so right, it hurts! As per his eyesight, at the end of that episode, Cartman -- I'm sorry -- Piggy gets an eye transplant, courtesy of one Mr. Kenny McCormick. His vision has been golden ever since.

Is it possible to have an episode just involving the Goth Kids? Like just to spend one day with them? Not like in "Raisins" or "You've got F'd in the A".
Just grab some coffee and some teen angst, and snuggle up next to them in "The Ungroundable" (1214). That whole episode focuses around the Goth Kids taking on the douchey little Vampire kids.

Someone told me that South Park was actually banned in another country for its content, is that true?
Sure is. Those crazy Russians have tried to get the series banned, and actually edit out parts that they deem offensive to the Motherland. Read about the silliness here.

When does Kenny "Re-Live" after the episode "Kenny Dies"?

When does Kenny "Re-Live" after the episode "Kenny Dies"?
Kenny makes his back-to-life comeback in the very last scene, of the very last episode, of Season 6: "Red Sleigh Down" (617). He just shows up and says he's "been hanging out". If you want to get technical though, Cartman thinks it's chocolate milk mix and drinks Kenny's ashes in "A Ladder to Heaven" (612). After this, Kenny's soul becomes unfortunately trapped in Cartman's body for a bunch of episodes. So yeah, he was hanging out.

why do people post so many stupid questions on this FAQ, isnt most of it kind of obvious?
"There are no stupid questions, only stupid people," as Mr. Garrison is so fond of saying.

When was the first time Butters actually said something or was introduced?
First, a FUN FACT: Butters was originally called "Puff Puff" by the crew for a number of years before he got his official name. Surprisingly, he's actually been in the background of the show since the very first episode "Cartman Gets An Anal Probe" (look for him in the classroom, on the left). However, Butters got his first speaking role and officially introduced in Season 3's "Two Guys Naked In A Hot Tub". Check it out!

Has there ever been an episode about feminists? I don't recall any. Why not? It would be HILARIOUS and it practically writes itself!
There hasn't been a full episode, but Mr. Garrison teaches his class about the Women's Liberation Movement in "'Lil Crime Stoppers" (706). Watch this clip -- and then answer me this: "who was the fattest, oldest skank on her period?"

HEY FROM NZ!! I was wondering if Towelie appears in any episodes other than 'A Million Little Fibers' and 'Towlie'?? ..and who does his voice by the way?
Mr. McTowelie has appeared a few other brief times outside of those two main episodes, and I'll give you the skinny: He shows up to make a lame pun in "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants" (509), he auditions to be the boys alternate friend in "Professor Chaos" (606), and he's in the audience at the town meeting in "Red Man's Greed" (707).

Vernon Chapman, who used to be a writer for the show, voices Towelie. Interesting side note, Vernon is the creator of two great shows you may have heard of: Wonder Showzen and Xavier: Renegade Angel.

What is the name of the episode where they have a 'rerun' of the very first episode? because I can't find it!
You're looking for the episode "Cancelled" (704). This was originally supposed to be the 100th episode (hence the re-run joke), but it lost that honor because of a scheduling shift. If you look closely, there's still a lot of 100th episode nods and inside jokes.
