I was wondering, how far in advance do you make the episodes?
I was wondering, how far in advance do you make the episodes? - There really is no "advance". Typically, we make an episode start-to-finish in about 6 days total, with the episode airing the same day it's finished. You can see the amazingly well-oiled process here in "Six Days to South Park".

How did you make the new episode "About Last Night..." so quickly, using quotes from Obama and McCain's speeches? And did you have an alternate version in case of a different outcome?
How did you make the new episode "About Last Night..." so quickly, using quotes from Obama and McCain's speeches? And did you have an alternate version in case of a different outcome? - All we can say is that we have THE HARDEST WORKING AND MOST TALENTED CREW that any production could ask for. Everyone on the show worked crazy hours and lost quite a bit of sleep to make "About Last Night..." an amazing episode.
As for how they did it, stay tuned to SouthParkStudios and maybe we can answer some of those questions for you. We hope to have some cool behind the scenes footage for you over the hiatus this winter. -

I think I remember watching an episode a long time ago where Santa and Jesus were arguing about who is more important for Christmas, and it ended with them singing a song together in some club. I can't find which episode this was from though...is this a real episode or am I crazy?

It was from the Season 3 episode "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" (315), where Santa and Jesus duet. There's a little "Duran Duran" in there too.
