Greetings Apostles,

I'm a bit embarassed to say this, but there was a South Park shout out on last week's "Dawson's Creek" on the "Duh duh dubya B." Now before you get on my case, I only watch "Da' Creek" for edumacational reasons. Besides, Joey used to be hot.

Anyways, in the episode in question, one character (Jen) gave her boyfriend (Dawson) an E.T. (wait for it... wait for it...) TRAPPER KEEPER! As we all know, Cartman had an evil "Dawson's Creek" Trapper Keeper in Episode #413. It was supposed to be a "Friends" Trapper Keeper, but we didn't get all the okays and what not in time. I didn't watch the ep of DC in question, so I thank TelevisionWithoutPity.com (fka MightyBigTV, fka Dawson's Wrap) for the, as always, brilliant recap.

Not much going on around these parts. What little that is, must unfortunately remain under wraps for the time being. Hey, we all need a few surprises in life. Until then, Matt and Trey will be in Aspen at the beginning of next month for a panel on free speech (at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival), so crack out your snow shoes.

New episodes begin on March 6th, so everyone's invited to my pad to watch. I'll provide the pretzels and the S'mores Schnapps.

Hey Kids,

I've been getting a lot of emails lately from fans asking me where the hell they could download full episodes of South Park Season Five.

As most of you already know that SPDOWNLOADS.com has a huge selection of South Park Episode Media. If you look at the layout of their downloads for the episodes you can see that it's a lot like our EPISODE GUIDE here at sps.com. Some people say that imitation is the best form of flattery... It's not even really an imitation as much as they just straight up snagged the format for our episode guide. I think it works for this site. Check them out.

Comedy Central is going to air "That's My Bush" for a Presidents Day Marathon Starting February 19th. The dude over at MyBush.org is going to put his site back up for it! Check out Comedy Central's site on Bush, click here.

I need your ideas!
I'm running out of new POLL ideas, for the site. If you've got a great poll question you think should be up on the site please email me at info@southparkstudios.com and I'll do my best at getting it up on the site. Please do not send me emails with attachments, stationary or LARGE annoying fonts... I delete those. You have a better chance of getting your idea submitted if you just send me a plain text email!

Do you like POP UPS!?

Do you like South Park Fan Sites?!

Well if you said yes to both of these you might want to check out SPEPIDODES.com where you can download South Park episode clips... and close about 8 or nine pop ups. Other then that they've got a pretty cool site going on... they even designed their own download interface! Which is more then we can say for SPDOWNLOADS (Clown hat curly hair smiley face!) <@:)

So I was watching the History Channel last night... Actually, it was E!, but who's checking? Anyways, E! was re-airing "Wild On... Park City," a program from last year. As our resident Matt and Trey watchers/stalkers are well aware of, the "Park City" installment of this most instructive travelogue includes cameos by Trey, SP writer David Goodman, and clips of DVDA performing (as well as Trey drinking a shot) at last year's Lap Dance soiree. Good times... if you can remember them.

But on to the big news... For you fans of meat - and I know you're out there, licking your chops, or whatever - Texas has done it again. Click here to read all about it.

Speaking of axi of evil....

Heads up!

Looks like Charles Song (AKA Butters on the BBS) has put up a couple of updates to the Behind The Scenes Section

Works on the 6th season premiere episode have started no new information on what the shows are going to be about just yet, once we get the news we'll post it!

For those of you who missed out on the article I posted about two weeks ago talking about how South Park has upset yet ANOTHER group of parents who said that the rate of sexual references, profanity and violence in primetime cable series was found to be more than double that of broadcast television, the Parents Television Council said Monday. Hmmm... must have been Proper Condom Use or The Entity!

Mr. Mackey dolls are already in Stores now!

Mr. Mackey 14 inch plush

Mr. Mackey plush dolls have hit the stores boys and girls! I checked on Comedy Central's site but they didn't seem to have it available yet. I did however, find this awesome link that not only sells the Mr. Mackey plushes now but also a whole lot more plushies that I haven't seen in a long time.

Click the link below to see the dolls
Comedy Central Store

Make sure you scroll down all the way to check them all out. There's tons that have been hard to find for some people like the plushes of Mr. Hat, Fluffy the Pig, Scuzzlebutt and Sparky the Gay Dog. Check it out, I'm sure there's something that one of you will find.

I recieved notice that Comedy Central indeed sells the plushes I mentioned in the paragraph above!

Holla back, young 'un. Whoo hoo!

This is getting ridiculous. Yet another South Park T-shirt sighting from a few weeks back. This time in Todd Solondz's most recent cinematic offering, Storytelling, where Selma Blair finally proves that she is, in fact, a twelve year old boy. Anyways, in the second part of said film, entitled "Nonfiction," we find indie-film hero, Mike Schank (Best known from the documentary American Movie.), as the video camera-toting side kick to a documentarian played by Paul Giamatti. In one scene, Mike Schank (playing "Mike" - to avoid apparent confusion) opens his apartment door while wearing a "Sewn-up Kenny" T-shirt from episode #107 - "Pink Eye." As Kenny himself would say: Whoo hoo! So a big up to the costume department at Storytelling.

To learn more about American Movie consult your local library or, better yet, direct your attention to their wonderful website right here.

In other documentary news, several SP crew members, along with the film's executive producers Matt and Trey, attended the Los Angeles screening for How's Your News - the awesome film recounting the cross country trip/quest of five members of the Camp Jabberwocky news team. All five got a standing ovation from the crowd of jaded Hollywood-types as the final credits rolled. After answering questions from the audience, they made their way to a party at a nearby club where all of the campers/reporters: Ronnie Simonsen, Susan Harrington, Larry Perry, Sean Costello and Robert Bird sang along with a band featuring News director Arthur Bradford (check out his book, Dogwalker) and other counselors from the camp. Ronnie even dedicated a song to our very own Pam Brady!

The HYN gang will be in San Francisco for another screening tomorrow, so stop by and say hi - especially if you're Chad Everett. Breayle has all of the links to the screening information, along with photos from last night's event, on the front page, so check it! How's Your News is also being shown on Cinemax (See? It's not just "Skinemax") this month as part of its "Reel Life" series. Trust me, this film will truly surprise you. I laughed, I cried (almost), it became a part of me. And for once, I'm not joking when I say that. WATCH THIS MOVIE! Then e-mail me so we can discuss it at length.

Matt Stone, Trey Parker, Kevin Morris and the Cinemax Reel Life Documentary presented a screening of a documentary called "How's Your News?"

How's Your News is a chronicle of a five adults with disabilities as they travel across America reporting their version of the news, interviewing pretty much everyone they met and generally having a really good time.

CINEMAX will be airing How's Your News! Please check out their site for more info!

After the screening we all headed down the street to the 217 Lounge where the HYN crew got up on stage and performed a musical show to everyone in the very crowded bar.

"NEWS!"

Just eight more days until the Season Premiere of South Park's Sixth Season (a little alliteration, also), and the South Park elves are busy at work.

Editor Tom Vogt has been putting together a one minute clip that will hopefully air on a variety of outlets. We'll be getting you those names and airtimes as soon as they're nailed down. Be on the lookout for some print media as well.

Speaking of... Matt and Trey will be doing a BBC interview at the Aspen U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. They'll also be doing a few radio and press syndicate interviews after their session on Friday. Not sure whether those questions will cover freedom in the arts or the sixth season (they ARE talking about freedom, after all), so we'll just have to wait and see.

652 - breayle: February 27, 2002

As you may have learned from our site's front page, South Park's sixth season will launch with a brand new opening and a brand new take on the SP theme song.

If you asked me, it was about time for a new intro. Besides, our contract with the stock footage company (that owned the clip of the guy flipping through the explosion) ran out at the end of last season.

And if you were wondering who was fondling Kyle in that pic, it's none other than our Director of Animation Eric Stough - at an undisclosed location somewhere in the San Fernando Valley. It just happened to be the coldest morning of the winter (Low 40's! That's low for L.A. I even cracked out the fleece.), so I'm guessing there were a lot of postponed exterior shots in the adult film industry that day.

Charles

P.S. - There IS something wrong with that picture of Eric (I smell a mini contest!). So if you're clever enough (It's not that hard) to figure it out, email me at: butters@southparkstudios.com. The first correct answer gets something from moi... maybe.

Happy Hunting!

Eric Stough and Tom Vogt painted two hockey sticks for a fund raiser yesterday for the Cedar-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute. The hockey sticks are hand painted, one with the four boys on the front and an American Flag on the back. The other stick has Cartman in a Los Angeles Kings uniform (Go Kings Go!) with the classic South Park snow capped mountains in the background. The other side of the stick is also mountains. Both sticks are autographed by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, once we get more info on where this auction is going to take place we'll post about it. Thanks!

Live, from the 3 dot lounge...

Isaac Hayes was in da' house to record lines for the Season Premiere just a few hours ago...

Our brand new opening went through color correction on Tuesday, so it's ready to go...

The season will launch with Episode #602. But you guys are probably used to that by now...

We have a winner in our mini-contest: Garrett McElver. Congrats, dude! Garrett correctly guessed that the background (which you can plainly see is green) should have been blue, or else Kyle's green parts wouldn't show up on screen. But don't worry, we had a blue screen just for Kyle...
