Season Four Boxset
On June 29, 2004, Paramount will be releasing the fourth Season of South Park in a complete boxed set. Some sources say that the list price is going to be $54.95, but note that Paramount-distribtued TV-DVD box sets often have no official list price...so don't get too worried. In any case, current pre-order price for some sites is $38.47 for a 3-DVD set that has 17 episodes running at 308 minutes.

Although there is no official word on what exactly is going to be on the DVDs there are talks of more mini-commentaries on all 17 episodes, recorded by Matt and Trey. Many fans are pathetically hoping for "The Spirit of Christmas" original pilot to show up on this one...but likely their dreams will be squashed like the tiny little bugs they are.

Cartman hatches his next genius plan for picking on Butters when he becomes AWESOM-O. In this week's episode, Cartman dresses up like a robot, calls himself AWESOM-O, and moves in with Butters. His plan is to learn all of Butter's innermost secrets and then use them against him. While Butters is thrilled to have found a new best friend, the Army believes AWESOM-O is some new secret weapon, and Hollywood is after the phony robot to develop their next big blockbuster. Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.

Tragedy in Hawaii
Everyone can calm down! There has been no horrible tragedy in Hawaii! Alright everyone, deep cleansing breaths... say it with me... "there is no horrible tragedy in Hawaii." I suggest you look to the Jedi Code for guidance:

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is the Force.

Sorry, I've been playing Knights of the Old Republic for the XBOX, and I think I'm some kind of Jedi!

No great adventure for Lemmiwinks...for now.
As you all know, we were supposed to be having Lemmiwinks return this season, unfortunately I am the bringer of bad news to you all. Lemmiwinks will not be airing the first half of the eighth season, or the second half. I can't really tell you why because, well, I'm really not sure, hell, I'm not even sure if this news I'm giving you will stay the same! Just know that Lemmiwinks will return... eventually. Please remember, that the "Tragedy in Hawaii" disclaimer at the beginning of the A.W.E.S.O.M - O was just a joke, and had nothing to do with the release of Lemmiwinks!

What? Morals in 'South Park'?
New York times reporter Virginia Hefferfan writes a really nice article about the moral lessons in South Park.

"The real strength of "South Park" is that it flatters freethinkers by mocking Christians and Jews, including Jesus himself (a resident), along with the stand-out holy figures Buddha, Muhammad, Krishna and Laotzu. (They form a clique called Super Best Friends.) But that stylized freethinking carries, of course, some dogma of its own. True, the boys of "South Park" - Cartman and Kyle, together with a schmo called Stan Marsh and some hangers-on - are unaffected by whatever spiritual troubles used to depress the "Peanuts" gang. They have a more specific problem: American hypocrisy, the combination of greed and sanctimony that lets religion and would-be spirituality provide cover for rapacity. Where the "Peanuts" children were sad, the kids in "South Park" are furious and vengeful."

It's a really great article and you all should read it. CLICK HERE, to check out the whole article. If you are not a registered member of the NY Times website, you won't be able to read this until you do register. But don't worry kiddies, it's fast and free!
