STRANDED!

I just wanted to let you all know, that your webmistress is stranded in the snow! I have not forgotten that I said I would update the site after the 5th, but since I'm stuck in Oregan where a big winter storm is hitting I'm not sure when I'll be home. If all works well I should be home on Friday, wish me luck and thanks to you all for waiting!

Trivia Game Thursday
Once again, Southparkstudios.com will be having a trivia contest this Thursday at 3:00pm (western) and 6:00pm (eastern).

How we will play:
One OP (one of the people with an "@" symbol by their nickname) will be asking the questions.
Users will answer the question simply by typing it out.
Once the question has been asked users must answer immediately SPELLING COUNTS.
Whoever appears with the correct answer, on the screen of the op that's asking the question first, will be awarded one point.
When the OPS say "STOP" please stop inputting your answers.
There will be 20 questions, whoever has the most at the end will be awarded the prize.
In the event of a tie, an extra question will be asked to the users in first place.
There is only a first place, meaning prizes will not be awarded to those in second or third place.

South Park syndication rights sold
Eight of the top ten stations have purchased the rights to show edited re-runs of South Park. Led by four Viacom-owned outlets, stations like KCAL Los Angeles, WPSG Philadelphia, WSBK Boston, KBHK San Francisco and WCIU Chicago.

Please remember that this does not mean that the show has been sold to these stations. This only means that these stations will now be allowed to run the show. Much like Cartoon Network purchasing Futurama and The Family Guy to show during Adult Swim. So please, refrain from sending us emails about how what horrible people we are for selling South Park, because we haven't. South Park will remain the same as it has always been on Comedy Central. Although the episodes will more than likely be censored a bit more on KCAL then it would be on Comedy Central. Take comfort in the thought that Comedy Central will remain as raunchy as it ever has... perhaps even more so with this new season coming along, who knows?

Trivia Winner!
Congratulations to golions84 on stealing the victory from Airman44 at the last minute in yesterdays game. Golions84 is now the proud owner of his very own inflatable Cartman ottoman (a footstool for those of you scratching your little coconuts). We will be having another Trivia game next Thursday @3:00pm (western) so study hard young grasshoppers.

South Park Composer to Conduct Award Show
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com)

Why has Marc Shaiman been named the official musical director of the upcoming 76th Annual Academy Awards show? Let's blame the Canadians. The Oscar-nominated composer, who was one the twisted minds behind Bigger Longer & Uncut's song "Blame Canada," will also act as host Billy Crystal's conductor for the award show. In addition to "Blame Canada," Shaiman also received a nomination in the original song category for "A Wink and a Smile" from 1993's "Sleepless in Seattle."
